WEST PALM BEACH, FL — [October 21, 2026] — Two air-conditioned expo buildings—one dedicated to kids’ activities and the other to shopping and fun for adults—will be the new home to the third annual South Florida Watermelon Festival, August 28–29, 2027, at the Shiner Law Group Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds. The kids’ side features giant fruit-themed inflatables, towering slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, bumper cars, wiggle racers and unicorn ride-ons, plus live entertainment on the Melon Stage. In the other building, guests can browse local vendors offering unique goods and specialty foods, then enjoy entertainment on the Spotlight Stage and games geared toward grown-ups, including a multi-sport simulator. Produced by FOMO Festivals, the two-day celebration offers a sweet summer send-off and a welcome break from Florida’s heat, humidity and afternoon rain. Festival hours are Saturday, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. “For our third year, we decided to move the festival indoors and shift the dates to better align with peak watermelon season. When the heat, humidity and afternoon rain send everyone running inside, there aren’t many events for families to enjoy together.
